The Board of Supervisors provides independent oversight, approves strategy, and safeguards the interests of depositors and stakeholders. Key responsibilities include appointing the Board of Management, approving major policies, and monitoring risk, compliance, and audit reports.

 

Mr. Hamayoun Ghafourzay, Ph.D. (Member):

Dr. Hamayoun GHAFOURZAY is the Head of the Accounting Department at the Economics Faculty of Kabul University. He received his BA in Business Administration from Nangarhar University, his MA in Banking and Finance from Kabul University, and his Ph.D. in Business Administration from Gazi University, a prestigious university in Türkiye. He received a fully funded scholarship from the Turkish Scholarships Program in 2015. As a Lecturer and Guest Lecturer, he taught Financial Accounting, Financial Reporting and Analysis, Financial Statement Analysis, Financial Management, Financial Risk Management, and Advanced Financial Accounting in undergraduate and graduate programs at reputable universities in Kabul. He has published in peer-reviewed high-status national and international journals. He has presented papers at international conferences in Afghanistan, Türkiye, Bosnia Herzegovina, and Georgia. Dr. GHAFOURZAY also serves on the editorial boards of several high-ranking national journals and acts as a reviewer for top-tier journals. In addition to his research and academic experience, Dr. GHAFOURZAY provides training and consultancy to various organizations. He has management experience for reputable businesses in Afghanistan.
